At Nutriko, we protect your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how long we store it, and the rights you have.

- Telemetry and usage data: App performance, error reports and anonymous usage statistics.
- Account and communication information: Email address or information you provide through support requests (if any).
- Scan data: Anonymous records of search queries, barcode data and product content requests.
- Device information: Technical information such as operating system, app version and device model.
- Cookies: Anonymous cookies used to improve site experience and analytics.
2. Camera Usage (Important)
Nutriko only requests camera access for barcode scanning. Images captured by the camera are processed instantly within the app and are generally not stored on the server. Only barcode/label data is extracted from images; photos or raw images are not retained. You can revoke camera access permission at any time from your device settings.
3. How Do We Use the Data?
The data we collect is used to provide and improve the service, analyze errors and improve user experience. Personal data is stored and used only with explicit permission.
4. Third-Party Services
We use some services through third-party providers (e.g., hosting, analytics tools) that are necessary for privacy and security. In these cases, only the minimum data necessary to provide the service is shared, subject to those providers' privacy policies. Nutriko does not sell personal data.
5. Cookies and Trackers
We use essential and performance cookies on our site to improve experience. Statistical cookies collect anonymized data; you can refuse them in browser settings, but some site features may be restricted.
6. Data Retention Periods
Anonymous telemetry data is generally stored between 12–24 months. Account information and support records are retained pursuant to legal obligations or user request. Specific retention periods are communicated to you when required.
7. Security
The security of your data is important to us. We apply industry-standard security measures (encryption, access controls, regular security audits). However, absolute security for data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed; users are recommended to use strong passwords for account security.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access your data, request correction, request deletion, and object to processing. You can submit your requests to hello@nutriko.app; identity verification may be requested to process your requests.
9. Children
Our service is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If a parent or guardian requests deletion of a child's data, we will take the necessary steps.
10. Changes to This Policy
When we need to make changes to our privacy policy, we announce material changes on the site and send email notifications to users for critical changes.
