Food Safety Principles
Food safety is under threat today for many reasons: mislabeling, lack of transparency in supply chains, contamination and incorrect nutritional values are examples that increase these risks. Our goal at Nutriko is to raise awareness of these risks, detect and correct errors, and provide consumers with a safe choice environment.
Our Core Principles
- Clear and Accurate Labeling: Product content, allergens and nutritional information must be clear and accessible.
- Independent Assessment: Our analyses are conducted using unbiased, AI-powered models and validated data sources.
- Consumer Education: Making information accessible helps make correct decisions.
- Rapid Error Reporting: When a label or nutritional value error is detected, we make it easy to report and update our database after verification.
- Policy & Advocacy: We work with regulators and industry stakeholders to promote safer standards.
Examples Threatening Food Safety
- Incorrect or incomplete labeling (hiding allergens).
- Outdated nutritional values on packaging.
- Security vulnerabilities in the supply chain due to lack of traceability.
